The DFW Africa festival is a weekend of family fun, celebrating the cultural diversity of Africa. The Festival features arts, clothing, dance, music, food, workshops, tours and travel information, and many more activities.

This event celebrates diversity through the presentation of arts and crafts, cultural dances, speakers, live music, food children’s village story tellers, drum workshops, health screenings, and traditional commodities in the market place.

You may bring a foldable chair and an umbrella. No pets allowed.

We invite and encourage all African communities and cutures to join us in creating an exciting atmosphere for the public to learn about our culture. Performers and cultural groups  that would like to showcase their talents during the festival are welcome.

Check out how to get involved as a sponsor, vendor, volunteer, or performer. We will also have an art exhibition if you would to submit your artwork. This exhibit is open to all African artists who may submit in any medium for juror’s consideration. This exhibition encourages artists to submit works that adhere to our theme: “Heritage.”

About

Since 2012, we have worked hard to promote the diversity of Africa and educate the public about its history. Since the pandemic, there has not been an Africa Festival. Other small international festivals in the DFW area rarely have African communities represented. We have partnered up with many different African communities to push the promotion of Africa through arts. Any person of any race will be able to join the show to learn, network and have fun.

I didn't know there was so many different cultures in Africa. My favorite food to taste was the Jellof rice. It was so spicy!

Wow! I wish I could volunteer every year. I'm from California and they have nothing like this over there.
